I often wished for a centralized, lightweight toolbox to handle daily repetitive tasks when I was a network and system engineer years ago. So, better late than never, I built Telcobox.
Telcobox is basically a set of digital calculators designed to simplify daily operational tasks and boost productivity across network, system and cloud engineering domains. It’s cloud-native, open-source and built to work directly from your browser responsively.
Key Features
- Multi-domain toolbox designed for networking, system and cloud engineering operations.
- The following frameworks are used: Flask (backend), Bootstrap (frontend).
- Hosted on Vercel, utilizing AWS infrastructure in the backend.
- Developed with the help of AI solutions, which are Amazon Q Developer and Claude by Anthropic.
- Open-source and extendable web-based project to easily add tools via GitHub.
- No ads, only a simplified website to support you.
Contributions
Telcobox is published to serve the community I came from. So, the doors are open for the community to help shape it.
You can submit PRs for the current web apps, suggest ideas, create issues or share feedback on GitHub repository. If you like it, a star may be the best way to show it!
Final Thoughts
It’s not a complex project, maybe even minor in the grand scheme of tools out there. But it’s something I’ve had in mind since my early days in engineering. Thanks to recent advances in AI tools, I found the boost effect to bring it to life and polish it.
It started as a weekend project, but it quickly became something I rely on although I am a product owner now. So, if you are an engineer who values speed, clarity and simplicity, it might be the tool you didn’t know you needed.
